Dahua Technology Releases 2025 ESG Report: Driving Sustainable Development through Digital Innovation
Hangzhou, China, (ANTARA/PRNewswire) - Dahua Technology, a leading global provider of video-based AIoT solutions, has released its seventh Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) report. The report underscores Dahua’s sustainable commitment to supporting sustainable development, aligning with its mission to “enable a smarter society and a better life”.
Throughout 2025, Dahua reinforced the implementation of its ESG strategy in global operational activities, focusing on environmental conservation, regulatory compliance, and responsible technology use. These efforts contributed to Dahua receiving a Silver Medal from EcoVadis, placing it among the top 15% of the world’s best companies.
Expanding AIoT innovations across various sectors
Dahua continues to broaden the application of AIoT in industry, urban areas, and the environment. In the new energy and petrochemical sectors, intelligent inspection solutions enhance workplace safety and maintenance efficiency. In urban areas, AI-based traffic monitoring and infrastructure systems support traffic management and emergency responses. In environmental fields, Dahua leverages video and sensor technology for biodiversity monitoring, including collaboration with the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) on wetland conservation projects. AIoT solutions are also applied in healthcare and education to improve operational efficiency and service access.
Accelerating green and low-carbon development
In 2025, Dahua accelerated its low-carbon transformation. The company intensified the use of photovoltaic systems, adding approximately 6.33 MW of installed capacity—a 78% increase from the previous year. Solar power generation for internal consumption reached 11,080.70 MWh annually. In manufacturing, Dahua developed automated “lights-out” factories with AGV usage covering an additional 30,000 square metres, boosting logistics efficiency by up to 50%. On the product side, Dahua developed energy-saving solutions such as solar-powered 4G devices, battery-based outdoor cameras, and a 480 kW DC fast-charging system to reduce carbon emissions. Dahua also obtained more than 150 eco-friendly product certifications and completed over 40 product carbon footprint reports. Furthermore, product packaging design was optimised, reducing average volume by 20% and increasing storage and transport space efficiency by up to 300%.
Strengthening corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and data security
Dahua has bolstered its governance framework by integrating global regulatory compliance management, tightening business ethics standards, and information security. The company has achieved various certifications, including GB/T 35770-2022 for regulatory compliance management, ISO 9001 for quality management, and ISO 28000 for supply chain security. Throughout 2025, there were no product recalls due to quality or safety issues. In cybersecurity and privacy protection, Dahua continues to adopt international standards such as CE-RED, ISO 27701, and ISO 27018, while operating a vulnerability monitoring system to detect and respond to risks. Dahua also developed AI governance practices, including compliance with ISO/IEC 42001 standards for artificial intelligence management.
Social contributions and community empowerment
Throughout 2025, Dahua participated in various social activities and provided humanitarian aid in multiple regions. In Europe, Dahua contributed to reforestation programmes in Madrid following wildfires. The company also partnered with charities such as Rêves in France and Starlight in Australia to support children with serious illnesses. In Southeast Asia, Dahua participated in disaster response, including flood relief in Indonesia and post-earthquake support in Myanmar.
