Dahnil Releases First Batch of Hajj Officials: Dedicate Yourselves to the Pilgrims
Indonesia’s Deputy Minister for Hajj and Umrah, Dahnil Anzar Simanjuntak, officially released 460 Indonesian Hajj officials for the Madinah work area, consisting of Pilgrim Protection Officers (Linjam) and the Hajj Media Center (MCH). They will be dispatched first to welcome the first wave of Hajj pilgrims.
Dahnil also advised the Hajj Organising Committee (PPIH) to dedicate themselves fully to serving Indonesian Hajj pilgrims.
“Mental and physical preparations that have been trained so far must truly be maintained. Therefore, dedicate yourselves completely to carrying out your duties in Saudi Arabia, in the Holy Land,” said Dahnil in his speech before hundreds of Hajj officials at the Pondok Gede Hajj Hostel in East Jakarta on Friday (17/4/2026).
Dahnil explained that serving the pilgrims is a sacred mission that must be carried out well so that this year’s Hajj organisation meets the expectations of President Prabowo Subianto. According to him, this task is not only a mandate from the state but also a mandate from Allah SWT and 221,000 Hajj pilgrims.
“Today you will depart, there are hopes from many people, both from us at the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, and President Prabowo who established this Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, so that the implementation of Hajj is much better,” said Dahnil.
