Daewoo Motor to ship 20,000 vehicles to RI

SEOUL (AFX-ASIA): Daewoo Motor Co will export 20,000
commercial passenger cars and buses worth US$110 million to
Indonesia through Chonbuk Trading Co, Chonbuk said.

A Chonbuk company spokesman said: "We will go to Indonesia to
sign a memorandum of understanding on Nov 27, and the Indonesian
partner will visit the car plants here in Chollabuk-do (south of
Korea) early next year."

Initially, Daewoo will supply 8,000 units early next year, he
said.

He added, however, the contract is expected to be finalised
only after the plant visit, and that Chonbuk will be ready to
provide other brands if the importer asks for them.
