Daewoo enters Philippines

MANILA (AFP): Keang Nam Enterprises Ltd., a member of South
Korea's Daewoo Group, has entered into a joint venture with
Philippine property developer Puerto Azul Land Inc., the local
firm said yesterday.

The new joint venture company called Grand Keang Nam Inc. will
develop "a world-class marina and waterfront commercial center,"
at the Puerto Azul resort in the town of Ternate, south of
Manila, the firm said in a statement.
