Daesang Showcases Global Brand Strength at THAIFEX-Anuga Asia 2026
Bangkok, (ANTARA/PRNewswire) - Daesang is strengthening its global brand presence through an integrated exhibition stand featuring Jongga, Ofood, and Mamasuka at THAIFEX-Anuga Asia 2026, Asia’s largest food industry exhibition held in Bangkok.
At the event, Daesang presented an integrated brand portfolio comprising Jongga, the number one kimchi brand; Ofood, a global food brand; and Mamasuka, an Indonesian local brand. Daesang attracted international buyers through four primary product categories: kimchi, seaweed, sauces, and home meal replacement (HMR) products.
During the exhibition, Daesang’s stand attracted over 13,000 visitors, providing various business opportunities and discussions regarding export plans with international buyers. Major Southeast Asian retailers, including Thailand’s CP AXTRA group (such as Makro and Lotus’s), as well as Big C and Tops, visited the stand to discuss distribution and sales plans. Buyers from Europe, India, the Middle East, and other regions also attended to explore new partnership opportunities.
Product tasting sessions highlighting local culinary cultures received positive responses. The Mat Kimchi Seafood Salad, made from Jongga Mat Kimchi produced in Daesang’s Vietnam facility, was appreciated for its blend of crunchy kimchi texture with local ingredients. Meanwhile, Ofood Cup Tteokbokki and Hotlava Chicken Stir-Fry, utilising halal-certified Mamasuka Hotlava Sauce, were warmly received for delivering authentic Korean flavours tailored to Southeast Asian palates.
Mamasuka’s Gochujang Paste was selected to participate in the ‘New to Market Street’ programme, an exhibition area showcasing the latest innovations at THAIFEX-Anuga Asia 2026. Developed as a Korean-style base sauce with halal certification, the product targets the global street food market. Buyers responded positively, noting the paste’s ability to deliver a characteristic sweet and spicy gochujang flavour. The ‘New to Market Street’ programme features products launched within the last year, reflecting current market trends.
Other local products, such as Mamasuka GimBori, which targets the growing single-person household segment in Southeast Asia, also drew significant attention. Daesang also utilised the exhibition space to highlight the history and identity of each brand through various illustrations, while emphasising its production capabilities supported by international quality and halal certifications.
Through the global network established via this exhibition, Daesang aims to reach a total combined sales target of KRW 1 trillion by 2030 across its various subsidiaries in Southeast Asia.
Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Daesang, Jungbae Lim, stated, ‘This exhibition serves as a platform to demonstrate the excellence of Daesang’s brand portfolio to global buyers. By offering products that blend authentic Korean flavours with local consumer preferences, we will continue to expand the reach of K-Food in the international market.’
