Dadap Coast Becomes Outdoor Classroom for Children to Learn About Birds and Ecosystems
The sound of birds calling to one another along the Dadap coast in Tangerang Regency became a different kind of classroom for children. Through a birdwatching activity organised by the Jakarta Birdwatcher Society, they were introduced to various types of wild birds while learning the importance of preserving natural habitats to sustain wildlife. Nature-based education like this is one way to cultivate environmental awareness from an early age, especially in coastal areas that serve as stopover and feeding sites for various bird species.
