Dadan Hindayana has been removed from his position as Head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) by President Prabowo Subianto. To replace Dadan, Prabowo has appointed the Deputy Head of the BGN, Nanik Deyang, to lead the agency responsible for managing his flagship political promise, the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) programme.

Following his dismissal, Dadan has become a subject of public discussion following a raid on the BGN office conducted by the Special Crimes Team of the Attorney General’s Office on Wednesday (3/6). According to the State Officials’ Wealth Report (LHKPN) reported annually to the KPK, as of 14 March 2025, Dadan holds assets totalling Rp9 billion.

Dadan possesses land and building assets valued at Rp5.9 billion. This includes land and buildings measuring 150 m2/250 m2 in Bogor City, valued at Rp2 billion, and land measuring 459 m2 in Bogor, valued at Rp3.9 billion, both acquired through his own earnings. Additionally, he holds vehicle assets worth Rp1.4 billion, comprising a 2023 Mazda CX-5 (Rp675 million), a 2024 Honda HR-V 1.5L SE CVT (Rp330 million), and a 2023 Mazda CX-3 1.5 (4X2) A/T (Rp395 million). He also reported other movable assets worth Rp322.4 million, as well as cash and cash equivalents of Rp1.4 billion. “Total wealth: Rp9,022,400,000,” according to the KPK’s e-LHKPN website on Wednesday afternoon.

The search conducted by the Attorney General’s Office at the BGN office is allegedly related to the alleged trading of Nutrition Service Fulfilment Unit (SPPG) sites, which serve as kitchens for supplying the Free Nutritious Meal programme. According to information received, the case originated from findings of violations in the SPPG procurement project. Sources suggest these violations involve several high-ranking BGN officials, alleging that the investigation focuses on the illegal sale of service points by certain individuals within the agency.

Other sources indicate that Dadan is currently reported to be at the Attorney General’s Office building. “It is true, he is already at the Attorney General’s Office,” a source stated. In addition to Dadan, two other individuals are reportedly being questioned by the Attorney General’s Office, bringing the total number of people under investigation regarding the BGN case to three.
