Dadan Hindayana's Reaction Following Removal as Head of National Nutrition Agency

Dadan Hindayana has spoken out following his removal from the position of Head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN). Dadan stated that changes in position are the absolute prerogative of the President of the Republic of Indonesia. “The replacement of Cabinet members is the full and absolute right of the President. He understands perfectly what is best for executing the planned work programmes,” Dadan told reporters on Tuesday (2/6).

Dadan subsequently expressed his gratitude to Prabowo for the opportunity provided within the cabinet. He expressed confidence that Prabowo will lead Indonesia successfully and bring prosperity. “I am infinitely grateful to have been given the opportunity to be a member of the Red and White Cabinet, which was previously unimaginable,” he said. “God willing, he will successfully lead the Indonesian nation and bring prosperity to all members of society,” he continued.

Furthermore, Dadan offered his congratulations to the new leadership at the BGN. He expressed his belief that the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) programme can bring benefits to its recipients. “Congratulations to the new BGN leadership. God willing, they will make the MBG programme even more high-quality and beneficial for all beneficiaries,” he said.

It is reported that Prabowo removed Dadan along with his deputies, Lodewyk Pusung and Sonny Sanjaya. At the same time, the Deputy Head of the BGN, Naniek S. Deyang, was announced as the new Head of the BGN. Additionally, Agustina Arum Sari and Major General TNI Trenggono have been appointed as Deputy Heads of the BGN.
