Dadan Hindayana Thanks Prabowo Following Removal as Head of National Nutrition Agency

Dadan Hindayana has spoken out after being removed from his position as Head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) by President Prabowo Subianto. He expressed his gratitude to the Head of State for the opportunity to have been part of the Red and White Cabinet.

“I am infinitely grateful to have been given the opportunity to be a member of the Red and White Cabinet, something that was previously unimaginable,” said Dadan, as reported on Wednesday, 3 June 2026.

Furthermore, Dadan emphasised that the replacement of cabinet members is the absolute prerogative of President Prabowo. He expressed confidence that the Head of State had carefully considered the reshuffle.

“The replacement of Cabinet members is the absolute right of the President of the Republic of Indonesia. He understands perfectly what is best for implementing the planned work programmes,” Dadan stated. “God willing, he will succeed in leading the Indonesian nation and bringing prosperity to all people.”

Dadan also extended his congratulations to Nanik S. Deyang, Agustina Arumsari, and Major General TNI Trenggono, the newly appointed deputies of the BGN. He expressed his belief that the trio could enhance the quality and benefits of the BGN and the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) programme for the public.

“Congratulations to the new BGN leadership. God willing, they will make the MBG programme even more high-quality and beneficial for all beneficiaries,” he added.

Previously, President Prabowo Subianto officially removed Dadan Hindayana from his role as Head of the National Nutrition Agency on Tuesday, 2 June 2026. Alongside Dadan, the President also removed Lodewyk Pusung and Sony Sanjaya from their positions as deputies of the BGN.

“Mr. Lodewyk Pusung as deputy Head of the National Nutrition Agency. The third, Mr. Sony Sanjaya as deputy Head of the National Nutrition Agency,” stated Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi during a press conference at the Presidential Palace complex in Jakarta.

During the announcement, Prabowo appointed Nanik S. Deyang as the new Head of the BGN, replacing Dadan. Additionally, Prabowo appointed Agustina Arumsari and Major General TNI Trenggono as deputies to replace Lodewyk Pusung and Sony Sanjaya. The President explained that this leadership change was conducted after monitoring and evaluating the implementation of the Free Nutritious Meal programme, which has been running for 1.5 years.
