Dadan Hindayana Removed from Position as Head of National Nutrition Agency
The President of the Republic of Indonesia has decided to remove Dadan Hindayana from his position as the Head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN). The announcement was made by the Minister of State Secretary, Prasetyo Hadi, during a Cabinet Meeting at the Merdeka Palace, Central Jakarta, on Tuesday night. The decision involves a reshuffle of three top positions within the BGN.
Records indicate that Dadan Hindayana had recently been in Makkah, Saudi Arabia, for the Hajj pilgrimage. While in Jeddah last weekend, he visited a school for the children of migrant workers and proposed that the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) programme be implemented abroad for the first time at the Indonesian School in Jeddah. Upon his return to Indonesia, he accompanied the President during unannounced visits to Nutrition Fulfilment Service Units (SPPG) in Palmerah and the implementation of the MBerm MBG programme at SMPN 111 Jakarta on Tuesday morning.
Prasetyo explained that the President decided to replace the Head and two Deputy Heads of the BGN. Those removed include Dadan Hindayana as Head, alongside Lieutenant General (Ret.) Lodewijk Pusung and Inspector General (Ret.) Sony Sandjaya as Deputy Heads. The Minister expressed gratitude for the hard work and dedication shown by the three outgoing officials.
In their place, Deputy Head of the BGN, Nanik Sudaryati Deyang, has been promoted to Head of the National Nutrition Agency. βThe President has decided to appoint Ms Nanik S. Dayang as the new Head of the National Nutrition Agency,β stated Prasetyo during a press conference, accompanied by the Cabinet Secretary and the Head of the Government Communication Agency (Bakom), Muhammad Qodari.
Furthermore, President Prabowo announced Agustina Arumsari and Major General Trenggono as the new Deputy Heads of the BGN. Agustina currently serves as the Deputy Head of the Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP), while Major General Trenggono is a high-ranking Indonesian Army officer and an alumnus of the 1993 Military Academy. Regarding the commencement of their duties, Prasetyo noted that the newly appointed officials are expected to assume their functions and responsibilities immediately following the announcement, though the specific date for the official inauguration remains unconfirmed.
