The Presidential Palace, through the State Secretary Minister (Mensesneg) Prasetyo Hadi, has expressed concern over the legal cases involving members and former members of the Red and White Cabinet in consecutive days.

Prasetyo affirmed that the government never expected any member of the Red and White Cabinet to commit acts of corruption.

“Indeed, in the past two days, we have been very concerned, and this is a recurring event that we clearly do not expect,” said Prasetyo Hadi in a statement to reporters on Thursday, June 4, 2026.

He also reminded everyone of President Prabowo’s message, which consistently urges all members of the Red and White Cabinet to refrain from corrupt practices.

“In various forums, the President has repeatedly reminded us all to improve ourselves and fight against corrupt practices in carrying out our daily duties,” he said.

On the other hand, the government respects the ongoing legal processes, both regarding the alleged corruption case in the processing of foreign nationals’ residence permits involving Silmy Karim at the KPK (Corruption Eradication Commission) and the alleged corruption case in the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) program involving Dadan Hindayana and others at the Attorney General’s Office (Kejagung).

“Of course, the government respects the legal processes being carried out by law enforcement agencies, both the Attorney General’s Office and the KPK,” he said.

Regarding Silmy Karim’s position as Deputy Minister of Immigration and Corrections, he affirmed that the government will immediately follow up on this matter. Prasetyo ensured that the legal case involving Silmy Karim will not affect the services at the Ministry of Immigration and Corrections.

“We have also communicated with the Minister of Immigration and Corrections (Agus Andrianto) to ensure that this incident does not disrupt services to the entire community,” he said.
