The Attorney General’s Office (Kejagung) has officially detained the former Head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN), Dadan Hindayana, alongside his two former deputies, Sony Sonjaya and Lodewyk Pusung. All three have been named suspects in an alleged corruption case involving the management of the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) programme for the 2025-2026 budget year. This detention marks a serious escalation in the investigation, which implicates the top leadership of the agency.

“The investigation concerns the alleged criminal act of corruption in the management of the Free Nutritious Meal or MBG programme at the National Nutrition Agency for the year 2025-2026,” stated the Director of Investigation at the Jampidsus of the Attorney General’s Office, Syarief Sulaeman Nahdi, during a press conference at the Attorney General’s Office in South Jakarta on Wednesday (3/6/2026).

Syarief explained that the investigation was conducted based on an order dated 29 May 2026. Prior to being named suspects, the three individuals were interrogated as witnesses by investigators. “Following these examinations, DH, SS, and LP, acting as witnesses, and based on two sufficient pieces of evidence obtained by the investigative team, the team has designated DH as the Head of the National Nutrition Agency, SS as the Deputy Head for Operational Nutrition Fulfilment, and LP as the Deputy Head for Organisational Development and Institutional Relations as suspects in the investigation of alleged corruption in the management of the Free Nutritious Meal programme,” said Syarief.

Following the designation, the Attorney General’s Office immediately proceeded with the detention of Dadan, Sony, and Lodewyk to facilitate further investigation. Previously, all three had been dismissed from their respective positions by President Prabowo Subianto on Tuesday (2/6).
