Czech, Slovak artworks on display

JAKARTA: The Embassy of the Czech Republic is organizing Minisalon, a contemporary art exhibition, at the Galeri Nasional Indonesia, Jl. Merdeka Timur, Central Jakarta.

The event, which will run until the end of the month, features the artwork of 244 Czech and Slovak artists in the form of wooden boxes measuring 15 centimeters (cm) by 15 cm by 5 cm.

The Minisalon Art Project was inaugurated in 1984 and first exhibited at the New Hall Gallery, Prague, in 1992.

It will also be displayed at the Museum Puri Lukisan in Ubud, Bali, and at the Mandarin Majapahit Hotel, Surabaya. --JP
