Cyrus Survey Records Public Satisfaction with Cabinet Performance at 70 Percent
Jakarta (ANTARA) - A national survey by Cyrus Network records that the level of public satisfaction with the performance of ministers in the Merah Putih Cabinet reaches 70 percent, with the majority of respondents rating the ministries’ performance as relatively good.
Lead Researcher of Cyrus Network, Syahril Ilhami, explained that 67.3 percent of respondents stated they were satisfied and 2.7 percent very satisfied. Meanwhile, 24 percent of the others stated they were dissatisfied with the cabinet’s performance.
“The majority of ministries have quite good ratings. With a score gap in the top 10 ministries of only 3 percent. A gap that is not too wide statistically,” he said during an online presentation in Jakarta on Tuesday.
Nevertheless, the survey also identified five ministries with the highest performance ratings, which the public considers most prominent in implementing government programmes.
“The ministries with the best performance in President Prabowo’s Cabinet are the Ministry of Finance with a score of 89.2 percent, followed by the Ministry of Health at 86.8 percent, the Cabinet Secretariat at 86.3 percent, the Ministry of Agriculture at 86.1 percent, and the Ministry of Youth and Sports at 86.0 percent,” Ilhami stated.
In addition to technical ministries, the coordinating ministry category also shows positive ratings, with the Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Culture (PMK) achieving the highest score of 80.3 percent, followed by the Coordinating Ministry for Food at 80.1 percent and the Coordinating Ministry for Infrastructure and Regional Development at 79.5 percent.
Meanwhile, the Coordinating Ministry for the Economy is rated as performing well by 75.1 percent of respondents, and the Coordinating Ministry for Law, Human Rights, Immigration, and Corrections at 74.1 percent.
The survey also captures the level of ministry popularity in the public’s eyes, which shows a correlation with performance ratings.
“The results show that only two ministries are consistently widely recognised, in the top five, and also in the top five ministries considered to perform very well, namely the Ministry of Finance and the Cabinet Secretariat,” he said.
These findings indicate that the level of public recognition of institutions contributes to performance perceptions, while also serving as an important indicator in government policy communication.
The survey was conducted from 1-5 April 2026, involving 1,260 respondents in 126 villages or sub-districts across 38 provinces using the multistage random sampling method, with a confidence level of 95 percent and a margin of error of around 2.82 percent.
