Cycling c'ship at Rawamangun

JAKARTA (JP): The annual cycling championship at the
Rawamangun velodrome, East Jakarta, scheduled for Jan. 21 and
Jan. 22, will see a number of foreign participants and eight
cyclists from Yogyakarta this year.

Coach Sigit Purwoatmoko told Antara yesterday that his team
would come early in order to adjust themselves to the Rawamangun
velodrome track. "We do not have such a track in Yogyakarta," he
said, adding that he was optimistic his team would come out as
overall champ.

South Korea and Malaysia have reportedly confirmed their entry
into the championship organized by the Jakarta chapter of the
Indonesian Sports Journalists Association. (arf)
