Cyber University students have received appreciation from Sinar Mas Land (SML) through the Youthpreneur Batch 2 programme following the presentation of innovative business ideas during a monitoring, evaluation, and curation session held at the Cyber University campus in Jakarta on Tuesday (22/09/2026).

During the session, the leadership of Sinar Mas Land’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Relationship division, led by SML Manager AG Priyambodo, reviewed the progress of student businesses and assessed the potential of their developed ventures.

In the curation process, Sinar Mas Land highlighted two student business teams from Cyber University: Balagula and V-cycle. Balagula presents turmeric tamarind sweets developed to help alleviate menstrual pain, while V-cycle processes cigarette filter waste, cigarette packaging, and plastic into functional ashtrays. Both teams developed their products through cross-disciplinary collaboration and mentorship within the Youthpreneur Batch 2 programme.

The Youthpreneur Batch 2 programme has been running since July 2026, providing a series of entrepreneurship training and mentoring sessions for students. Through this programme, students are given the opportunity to develop business ideas directly, ranging from refining concepts to producing products with the potential to be scaled into enterprises.

The Head of Cyber Center, Dr Anang Martoyo, expressed his appreciation for the mentorship provided by Sinar Mas Land to students via the Youthpreneur Batch 2 programme. He noted that the training and curation process provides students with experience in developing businesses while identifying entrepreneurial opportunities from an industrial perspective.

“We are grateful for the consistent business training and mentoring from the Sinar Maland team. Through this direct curation, our students receive real validation to elevate their businesses to the next level,” Dr Anang stated in a press release on Tuesday (29/09/2026).

The activity also serves as part of the monitoring and evaluation process regarding the progress of student businesses during their participation in Youthpreneur Batch 2. Through the curation process, Sinar Mas Land directly observes the products developed by students while evaluating their business potential to meet market demands.

This collaboration is part of Cyber University’s efforts to provide entrepreneurial experiences that are closely aligned with the industrial world. Dr Anang hopes that the mentorship provided through Youthpreneur Batch 2 will encourage students to continue developing business ideas and creating ventures that provide value to society.

“The hope is that students do not stop at the programme participation stage, but continue to develop the ideas and businesses they have built so that they can provide benefits and achieve sustainability,” said Dr Anang.
