Cyber University Student Reaches Final of Puteri Batik Banten 2026, Campaigns for Culture in the Digital Era
The advancement of digital technology is now a new means for the younger generation to preserve traditional culture so that it remains relevant on the global stage. Munfiqoh Wa A’fiatul Khoiriah, a Digital Business student at Cyber University, has successfully advanced to the final round of the Puteri Batik Banten 2026 pageant. This achievement was attained after she passed a rigorous selection process that began in early June 2026. Munfiqoh, as she is affectionately known, qualified after undergoing selection stages that included an online semi-final round via a voting system and a live interview session with the board of Duta Batik Indonesia. After being declared a finalist, she is scheduled to compete in the Grand Final in July 2026. Her interest in the philosophy of batik was the primary motivation for participating in this event. She believes that the development of digital technology, such as social media and global communication platforms, presents a significant opportunity for the younger generation to introduce the richness of Indonesian culture more widely. The Head of the Digital Business Study Programme at Cyber University, Vivi Afifah, expressed appreciation for her student’s achievement. She stated that this accomplishment proves that students are capable of combining competence in digital technology with a concern for national culture. “In the era of digital transformation, cultural preservation is no longer limited to conventional activities. Students can use digital marketing skills, content creation, and branding to promote national culture,” Vivi said on Wednesday (1/7/2026). She added that the campus is committed to continuously supporting students in honing a balance between academic ability, creativity, and social responsibility. This commitment is expected to produce graduates who can make a direct positive contribution to the wider community. Vivi expressed hope that Munfiqoh’s success in reaching the final will inspire other young people. “Creativity and digital innovation are expected to be continuously utilised to ensure that the nation’s cultural heritage remains preserved in the modern era,” she concluded.
