Cyber University Prepared to Host CYBER CONNECT 2026, Partnering with Industry to Develop Digital Talent for the AI Era
Universitas Siber Indonesia (Cyber University) is prepared to host the strategic CYBER CONNECT 2026 forum at the Cyber University Hall, Jakarta, on Thursday, 24 September 2026. This forum will bring together higher education institutions with the business, industrial, and labour sectors (DUDIKA) to produce digital talent ready to face the era of Artificial Intelligence (AI).
Titled “Cyber University Business & Industry Engagement Forum”, the event was initiated to respond to the rapid development of technologies such as AI, Cyber Security, Cloud Computing, Big Data, and the Internet of Things (IoT). Through this forum, it is expected that the higher education process will align with current trends and the competency demands of the modern workforce.
To provide relevant input, CYBER CONNECT 2026 will feature 15 speakers representing graduate users, industry associations or partners, and alumni. The industry partner element will be represented by Syaiful Andy, an Officer of Vulnerability Assessment at PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk. Meanwhile, the graduate user position will be filled by Nur Adin, Project Manager of the Digital Banking Product & Strategy Division at PT Bank Muamalat Indonesia Tbk, and the alumni side will be represented by Erick Ade Hending Firmansyah, a Software Quality Assurance professional at PT Bank Mandiri Tbk.
The forum will not only consist of general discussions but will also continue with Focus Group Discussion (FGD) sessions. During these sessions, three study programmes—Information Technology, Information Systems, and Systems and Information Technology—will present their curriculum development directions to receive direct feedback from practitioners.
The Chairperson of CYBER CONNECT 2026 and Head of the Systems and Information Technology Study Programme at Cyber University, Neneng Rachmalia Feta, stated that this forum is a concrete step in aligning education with industry. The activity is organised under the guidance of the Rector of Cyber University, Gunawan Witjaksono, and Dr. Ing. Agus Trihandoyo, DEA, as the person in charge of the event.
“Through this forum, Cyber University, as a ‘Shaping Future Digital Leader’, aims to create a stronger ‘link and match’ between the world of education and industry. The strategic partnerships opened include internship programmes, practitioner lectures, competency certification, applied research, and direct graduate recruitment,” Feta said in a statement in Jakarta on Wednesday, 9 September 2026.
She noted that this step is expected to build a higher education ecosystem that is responsive and adaptive to the waves of digital transformation.
“Continuous curriculum alignment is the key to producing globally competitive Indonesian digital talent in the future. We hope this can build a higher education ecosystem that is responsive and adaptive to the changing times,” she added.
