Cyber University Introduces 3+1 CLP to New Students' Parents
REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA – Universitas Siber Indonesia (Cyber University) held a dialogue session with parents of new students for the 2026/2027 academic year at the Cyber University campus hall on Jl. TB. Simatupang No. 6, RT 7/RW 5, Tanjung Barat, Jagakarsa, South Jakarta, on Saturday (25/7/2026). Carrying the spirit of “Elevate Your Mindset”, the event aimed to build synergy between the university and families in supporting students through the era of artificial intelligence (AI) and digital transformation.
The event opened a space for dialogue on the direction of higher education amid rapid technological disruption. As an institution focused on information technology and financial digitalisation, Cyber University continues to build an educational ecosystem relevant to the needs of cutting-edge industry, ranging from mastery of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Cyber Security, Data Science and the Internet of Things (IoT) to Digital Business.
In response to these challenges, Cyber University Vice-Rector Agus Trihandoyo affirmed that entering higher education is a period of preparation so that the younger generation can endure amid changes that no longer progress in a linear fashion.
“Change today no longer happens every ten years, but almost every month. Many old jobs are disappearing, while new professions continue to emerge. Therefore, the most important capability students must possess is not only knowledge, but the ability to continuously adapt, learn and create innovation,” said Agus in a press release on Wednesday (29/7/2026).
To realise this vision, Cyber University, as a shaper of digital future leaders, applies an adaptive curriculum approach through Project-Based Learning, integration of professional certifications, and close collaboration with industry. All of these concepts are designed to produce graduates who rely not merely on their diplomas, but who are genuinely ready in practical terms.
One of the main advantages introduced to the parents was the Company Learning Program (CLP) 3+1. Under this programme, students spend three years strengthening their academic foundation, technical competencies and soft skills such as leadership and communication. In their fourth year, they are deployed directly into a structured industrial internship programme.
“Through this CLP 3+1 programme, students are truly put through their paces with three years of study on campus and one full year of internship in industry. This is our concrete step to ensure that graduates not only hold a diploma, but also a portfolio of projects and real work experience before they actually graduate,” said Agus.
Modern learning at the university is also encouraged to go beyond the boundaries of the conventional classroom. Students are required to actively work on real projects, dissect industry case studies, take part in competitions, and engage in hackathons and community service.
Beyond academic innovation, the central message of the dialogue was the importance of making parents strategic partners in education. Dr. Agus affirmed that student success depends not only on the quality of classroom learning, but also greatly requires moral support, good communication and full attention from the family.
Given the magnitude of the challenges facing a younger generation living amid the torrent of information and social media, Cyber University is committed not merely to teaching technology, but also to instilling values of integrity, discipline, collaboration and lifelong learning.
