Cyber University (Indonesia Cyber University) and the Directorate General of Taxes (DJP) held a socialisation and assistance programme for the Coretax system targeted at the academic community on Friday (13/3/2026) at the Cyber University campus in Tanjung Barat, Jagakarsa Subdistrict, South Jakarta. This socialisation serves as an effort to improve tax literacy and compliance through digital annual tax return (SPT Tahunan) reporting.

The event was attended by lecturers and educational staff from Cyber University as part of initiatives to enhance understanding and practical skills in using the Coretax system. Participants received direct assistance regarding the digital tax reporting process in accordance with applicable regulations.

The event was opened by the Rector of Cyber University, Gunawan Witjaksono, who emphasised the important role of higher education institutions in supporting increased tax awareness and compliance.

“As a technology-based digital education institution, we have a responsibility not only to produce outstanding graduates but also to build a culture of compliance, including in the field of taxation,” said Gunawan in a press release on Tuesday (31/3/2026).

During the event, participants not only gained conceptual understanding of the Coretax system but also received direct assistance in its use. The Coretax system is part of the digital transformation in tax administration in Indonesia, particularly in supporting a more effective and efficient annual tax return reporting process.

Irla Putri Safitri, First Expert Tax Extension Officer of the Directorate General of Taxes (DJP) Jakarta Special Region Office, provided an explanation regarding the implementation of the Coretax system and practical steps in digital annual tax return reporting.

“The Coretax system is designed to facilitate taxpayers in fulfilling their tax obligations in a more integrated and transparent manner, allowing the reporting process to be carried out more quickly and accurately,” said Putri.

In addition to the socialisation activities, the event was also accompanied by the signing of an Implementation Agreement between Cyber University and the DJP Jakarta Special Region Office as a form of strengthening cooperation between the two institutions.

The signing was carried out by the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs of Cyber University, Agus Trihandoyo, together with the representative from DJP Jakarta Special Region, Rino Sugiarto. This cooperation is a follow-up to the memorandum of understanding (MoU) that had been agreed upon previously.

As The First Fintech University in Indonesia, Cyber University reaffirms its commitment to supporting increased tax awareness and compliance within the academic environment. Synergy with the Directorate General of Taxes is expected to continue to be strengthened to promote adaptive tax literacy in the era of digital transformation.
