The Sub-Director of Customs Intelligence at the Ministry of Finance, Sisprian Subiaksono, admitted to using money linked to an import bribery case for various personal purposes, including buying tickets to Brisbane, Australia, with his family and purchasing an iPhone for his wife. Sisprian disclosed this while testifying as a witness in the customs importation trial at the Jakarta Corruption Court on Wednesday (10/6/2026). Sisprian, who is also a suspect in the bribery case, admitted he requested the ‘operational funds’ directly from Salisa, an excise analyst at the Directorate General of Customs and Excise who was tasked with holding the money.

The prosecutor asked, ‘How much did you request from Salisa?’ Sisprian replied, ‘As far as I remember, I once asked Salisa to pay for my ticket to Brisbane.’ He stated the ticket purchase for Brisbane was for himself and his family, with a total cost of Rp 34 million. ‘As I recall it was Rp 34 million,’ the witness said. When asked if the tickets were just for him, he confirmed the trip was ‘with the family’.

The prosecutor further questioned the use of the ‘operational funds’. Sisprian admitted the money was used to renovate his workspace and to buy an iPhone for his wife. Asked if he had taken Rp 20 million for the phone, Sisprian claimed he intended to reimburse the funds. ‘For the iPhone, I once asked to have it purchased. Using operational funds, with the intention of later paying it back,’ the witness stated. Pressed on whether the money had been returned, he simply replied, ‘I got caught before I could.’

Regarding the purchase of a luxury watch, Sisprian acknowledged that buying a TAG Heuer was intended as a memento for Rizal, the Director of Enforcement and Investigation at the Directorate General of Customs and Excise, who served from September 2024 to January 2026. ‘I told my colleagues to find a memento for the Director,’ he testified.

The defendants in this trial are John Field, the head of Blueray Cargo (Group), Dedy Kurniawan Sukolo, the Operational Manager of Port Custom Clearance at Blueray Cargo (Group), and Andri, the Head of the Import Document Team at Blueray Cargo (Group). In this case, KPK prosecutors charged the three Blueray Cargo executives with bribing officials for the importation of goods. Prosecutors stated the trio provided a total of Rp 61.3 billion in Singapore dollar currency, along with various facilities and luxury goods worth up to Rp 1.8 billion.
