Customs Official Admits Receiving Rp 1 Billion and Mazda CX-5 from Blueray Executives
Enov Puji Wijanargo, Head of Import Enforcement Section I at the Directorate General of Customs and Excise, admitted to receiving Rp 1 billion and a Mazda CX-5 car from the defendants in an import bribery case. Enov stated that he had returned both the money and the vehicle to the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK).
Enov provided this testimony while serving as a witness at the Jakarta Corruption Court on Wednesday (3/6/2026). The defendants in the trial include John Field, leader of Blueray Cargo (Group); Dedy Kurniawan Sukolo, Operational Manager of Custom Clearance at Blueray Cargo (Group); and Andri, Head of the Import Documentation Team at Blueray Cargo (Group).
During questioning, the prosecutor asked if any other goods had been received, to which Enov confirmed the receipt of the car, noting it was used for operational purposes. He maintained that the total amount returned to the authorities was worth Rp 1 billion.
The prosecutor read from Enov’s interrogation report (BAP), which stated that the Blueray Group provided the funds to ensure ‘special attention’ during the enforcement process. The report further detailed that the payments occurred following a meeting with John Field in July 2025, prompted by instructions to assist Blueray Cargo with field operations.
Despite the payments, Enov asserted that during his tenure as Head of Import Enforcement Section I, he had not provided any special treatment, such as manipulating ‘red’ or ‘green’ lane documentation for Blueray Cargo. He noted that the practice of receiving such funds seemed to be an established ‘culture’ that he encountered as a new official in the department.
Enov admitted receiving the funds in five separate instalments of approximately SGD 14,300 (totaling roughly Rp 200 million), which were stored at his residence in Malang, East Java. The Mazda CX-5 received was valued at approximately Rp 330 million.
In this case, KPK prosecutors have indicted three leaders of Blueray Cargo for bribery related to goods importation at the Directorate General of Customs and Excise. Prosecutors allege the three defendants provided a total of SGD 61.3 billion in Singapore Dollars, alongside various luxury goods and facilities valued at Rp 1.8 billion.
