SEMARANG – The Central Java and DI Yogyakarta Regional Customs Office has once again demonstrated its commitment to supporting national industrial growth by granting bonded warehouse facility approval to PT Yong Sheng Packaging.

The decision letter granting the facility was handed over directly by the Head of the Central Java and DI Yogyakarta Regional Customs Office, Agus Yulianto, to representatives of PT Yong Sheng Packaging on Thursday (16 July 2026).

“This facility is expected to improve supply chain efficiency, strengthen industrial competitiveness and have a positive impact on the regional economy,” said Agus in a statement on Thursday (23 July 2026).

A bonded warehouse is a customs facility that makes it easier for businesses to store imported goods before they are distributed or used by specific industries.

Through this facility, the company gains various conveniences, such as the deferral of import duties and taxes, allowing for more optimal cash flow and reduced logistics costs.

For PT Yong Sheng Packaging, the bonded warehouse facility will provide greater flexibility in managing imported raw material inventory according to its clients’ needs.

This efficiency enables the company to respond to client needs more quickly and maintain a smooth supply of raw materials to ensure production processes, which is expected to enhance product competitiveness amid global trade dynamics.

Beyond benefiting the company, the presence of the bonded warehouse is also expected to generate a multiplier effect for the regional economy.

In 2026, PT Yong Sheng Packaging has absorbed 15 local workers, and that number is projected to rise to 35 by 2030 as the business expands its capacity.

The increase in employment opportunities demonstrates that customs facilities not only drive business growth but also contribute to improving public welfare.

Agus stated that the provision of customs facilities is part of Customs’ role as a trade facilitator and industrial assistance provider, aimed at creating a conducive business climate and enhancing the competitiveness of national industry in global competition.

“Through the bonded warehouse facility, Customs strives to make it easier for businesses to operate more efficiently and competitively,” he said.

Ultimately, he added, this facility is expected to drive investment growth, expand employment opportunities and make a greater contribution to the national economy.

The Central Java and DI Yogyakarta Regional Customs Office remains committed to providing the best service to businesses through well-targeted customs facilities.

Through synergy between the government and the business world, it is hoped that more industries will grow, increasing the added value of domestic products, strengthening the national logistics ecosystem and supporting sustainable economic growth.
