Customs Foils Drug Smuggling by Three Women at Soekarno-Hatta Airport

Customs officers at Soekarno-Hatta Airport have foiled an attempt to smuggle narcotics by three women arriving from Malaysia. The incident occurred on Monday, 3 August 2025, at Terminal 2F International Arrivals.

The three passengers, with the initials WLSN, TKL, and HBN, arrived on a flight from Kinabalu. They were flagged by a Behaviour Detection Officer (BDO) and subsequently directed to the red channel for a thorough inspection.

A search revealed the drugs hidden in various items, including toiletry bags inside their suitcases, wallets, medicine wrappers, jacket pockets, and the shoes they were wearing. The total evidence seized consisted of 0.5 grammes of suspected cocaine ash, 0.3 grammes of suspected cocaine ash, 2 grammes of suspected cocaine powder, 4.2 grammes of suspected MDMA pills, 1.8 grammes of suspected ketamine powder, 2.4 grammes of suspected MDMA pills, 16.9 grammes of tobacco rolls suspected to be laced with ketamine, 1.4 grammes of suspected cocaine powder, and one cartridge suspected to contain ketamine.

Sample tests have been conducted on the seized items, and customs officials have coordinated with the Soekarno-Hatta Airport Police narcotics unit for further legal proceedings.
