Customs Authority Ensures Smooth Soekarno-Hatta Airport Services During Nyepi and Eid Holiday Period

The Directorate General of Customs and Excise (DJBC) has intensified readiness at Indonesia’s entry points ahead of the extended holiday period during Nyepi Day and Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah, in anticipation of a surge in international passengers.

This measure was undertaken to address the expected increase in international passenger traffic.

The Director General of Customs and Excise, Lieutenant General (Retired) Djaka Budhi Utama, conducted a direct inspection of operations at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport on Tuesday, 17 March 2026.

The inspection aimed to ensure smooth passenger flow during this busy period.

In the international arrivals area, he observed the conveyor belt system and X-ray facilities at Terminal 3 directly.

Additionally, Djaka also inspected digital services, including the IMEI registration process, to ensure operations run swiftly and transparently.

He also monitored the Monitoring Control Room (MCR) to observe field conditions in real time and ensure rapid response should any issues arise at the terminal.
