Customs Approves Special Treatment Permit for PT Doocheon Automotive Indonesia
The Jakarta Regional Office of Customs and Excise has approved a special treatment permit for PT Doocheon Automotive Indonesia, a company receiving bonded zone facilities. This facility is granted as an effort to support operational smoothness and improve the efficiency of the company’s logistics activities. The approval was given after PT Doocheon Automotive Indonesia presented its business processes at the Jakarta Customs Office in the context of applying for the special treatment permit. The permit is needed to support the management of goods with large volumes and special dimensions, which require open areas or yards for unloading, loading, and stockpiling activities. In its presentation, the company explained that the available warehouse capacity is not yet fully able to accommodate these operational needs. Therefore, flexibility in managing goods under customs supervision is required through the utilisation of the prepared yard areas. Head of the Customs and Excise Facilities Division at the Jakarta Customs Office, Dorothea Sigit Lestarningtyas, stated that the approval was granted after the company met all stipulated requirements, including aspects of goods supervision and control. ‘Customs and Excise has evaluated the company’s readiness and ensured that the proposed yard area meets customs supervision provisions. With these requirements fulfilled, the special treatment permit can be granted to support the smooth running of the company’s business activities,’ said Dorothea. She added that this policy is a form of Customs and Excise support for the business world while maintaining regulatory compliance. According to her, the granting of this permit is expected to accelerate the flow of incoming and outgoing goods, optimise the utilisation of available space, and support the smooth production process of the company. Through the granting of this special treatment permit, the Jakarta Customs Office hopes that synergy between the government and business actors can be continuously strengthened to create a conducive investment climate, enhance the competitiveness of national industry, and encourage sustainable economic growth.
