Jakarta — Deputy Finance Minister Suahasil Nazara reported that customs and excise revenue in February 2026 reached Rp 44.9 trillion.

The government official explained that this achievement was equivalent to 13.4 per cent of the 2026 state budget target, though it contracted 14.7 per cent compared with the same period last year.

“Customs and excise revenue has been collected at Rp 44.9 trillion. Compared to February 2025 last year, the collection was Rp 52.6 trillion. So this is approximately Rp 7 trillion below (the result) from last year,” Suahasil said during the March 2026 edition state budget press conference on Wednesday, 11 March 2026.

He detailed that excise revenue reached Rp 34.4 trillion or 14.1 per cent of the 2026 state budget target, or contracted 13.3 per cent year-on-year. He acknowledged this was influenced by a production decline at the end of 2025.

However, there was production growth in January and February 2026, creating potential for increased revenue from deferred excise tax payments.

“So we will see, hopefully in the next two months this will improve for excise revenue,” he said.

Meanwhile, export duty revenue was recorded at Rp 2.8 trillion or 6.5 per cent of the state budget target, down 48.4 per cent year-on-year due to declining crude palm oil prices.

Import duty revenue then reached Rp 7.8 trillion or 15.6 per cent of the state budget target, or grew 1.7 per cent year-on-year driven by increased import activity.

On the tax revenue side, the government recorded net tax revenue of Rp 245.1 trillion, growing 30.4 per cent year-on-year through the end of February 2026. This realisation was equivalent to 10.4 per cent of this year’s state budget target.
