The Directorate General of Customs and Excise has reaffirmed its commitment to helping micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) penetrate the export market through Export Clinic and business matching activities. Through these activities, Customs and Excise not only provides assistance regarding export and customs procedures but also acts as a strategic partner for MSMEs in identifying market opportunities, strengthening product competitiveness, and developing globally oriented business strategies.

To encourage MSMEs to enter the international market, Customs and Excise Malang again held an Export Clinic activity through assistance to two fostered MSMEs, namely CV Sahabat Pangan and PT Fairuziba in Malang City on Wednesday (5/7/2026). The activity was led by First Customs and Excise Examiner, Agnita Adityawardani, along with the Malang Customs and Excise Export Clinic Team as part of ongoing assistance to export-oriented business actors.

‘With continuous synergy, it is hoped that more MSMEs in the Greater Malang area will be able to expand their export markets and contribute to improving national export performance,’ said Agnita.

A similar commitment was also demonstrated by the Banten Regional Office of Customs and Excise through a business matching activity held on Wednesday (29/7) at the Customs and Excise Head Office. The activity was a collaboration between Customs and Excise and House of Indonesia (HOI) T/A Seruni Internasional to connect MSMEs fostered by Customs and Excise with potential buyers from the UK and Ireland.

This Business Matching focused on promoting food and beverage products, while opening export opportunities through a curation process and exploring cooperation with international buyers.

House of Indonesia (HOI) T/A Seruni Internasional, Ltd. is an importer of Indonesian products that has been marketing various domestic products in Ireland and the UK since 2002. In this Business Matching, HOI conducted a question and answer session, assessment, and direct curation of each participating MSME to assess product readiness and potential for export cooperation.

Head of the Compliance Guidance and Public Relations Section of the Banten Regional Office of Customs and Excise, F. Qittory Iwari, said that through this direct meeting, business actors had the opportunity to introduce their products while understanding the needs of the international market.

‘The participation of four fostered MSMEs in this activity is a tangible form of Banten Customs and Excise’s commitment to supporting the development of export-oriented MSMEs,’ said Qittory.

The owner of CV Saripati Laer, Turidjo Hadi, as one of the fostered MSMEs, expressed his appreciation to Customs and Excise, especially the Banten Regional Office, for the assistance and opportunity given to his business to participate in the business matching.

‘Thank you for giving us the opportunity to participate in this international-scale activity. We are committed to continuing to expand our product market reach and increase the competitiveness of local products on the global stage,’ said Turidjo.

Through assistance and facilitation of international market access, Customs and Excise continues to strive to help local business actors increase their product competitiveness while expanding market reach at the global level.
