Customs and Excise Boosts Job Creation Through Bonded Zone for PT Golden Victory Manufacturies
The Regional Office of Customs and Excise for Central Java and D.I. Yogyakarta has granted a bonded zone facility to PT Golden Victory Manufacturies, a footwear industry company located in Pemalang Regency. The approval, given on Tuesday (21/7/2026), represents government support for welcoming foreign investment, boosting the competitiveness of export-oriented industries, and strengthening the manufacturing sector’s contribution to national economic growth.
In addition to providing ease of production and export activities, the bonded zone is expected to have a tangible impact on job creation for the community. In 2026, the company, which stands on 25 hectares of land, is estimated to absorb 3,035 Indonesian workers. This figure is projected to nearly triple to 9,038 workers by 2030 in line with increased production capacity.
These projections indicate that the company’s development not only drives production capacity but also opens thousands of new job opportunities, creating a multiplier effect for the economy of Pemalang Regency and its surrounding areas.
From an investment perspective, the company recorded an investment value of Rp 396 billion in 2026, projected to increase to Rp 420 billion by 2030. This increase serves as an indicator of business confidence in Indonesia’s conducive investment climate and reinforces the company’s commitment to sustainable business expansion.
The bonded zone facility allows the company to obtain various customs and tax incentives. The company receives exemption from import duty and other fiscal incentives on raw materials used to produce export goods. These incentives are expected to improve production cost efficiency, strengthen the competitiveness of Indonesian footwear products in the global market, and boost national export value.
Head of the Central Java and D.I. Yogyakarta Customs and Excise Regional Office, Agus Yulianto, stated that granting the bonded zone facility is not only aimed at supporting industrial growth but also serves as a government instrument to create broader economic benefits for the community.
“With the addition of companies receiving bonded zone facilities, we hope more investment will enter Central Java, national industrial production capacity will increase, and most importantly, more jobs will be created for the community. The projected absorption of more than 9,000 workers at PT Golden Victory Manufacturies is proof that customs facilities can have a direct impact on public welfare,” said Agus.
He also affirmed that Customs and Excise will remain committed to providing excellent service and overseeing the optimal utilisation of customs facilities to drive investment growth, increase exports, strengthen national industrial competitiveness, and create wider employment opportunities for the Indonesian people.
