Customers to see water shortage

JAKARTA: PT PAM Lyonnaise Jaya (Palyja) said on Friday that
the quality and quantity of its water supply could be affected by
electrical problems being experienced by its raw water supplier
Perum Jasa Tirta II at the Cawang Intake Water Works.

The company announced in its press release on Friday that
PALYJA would use Banjir Canal to add more raw water for its
production.

Due to the problem, customers in Muara Karang, Tanjung Duren,
Dan Mogot, Jelambar, Jembatan Besi and Latumenten in West
Jakarta; Harmoni, Menteng Wadas, Palbatu, Jl. Proklamasi and
surroundings in Central Jakarta, are likely to be affected and
potentially experience water shortages for several days.--JP
