Current Scene at the Home of Mourning of Indonesia's 6th Vice-President Try Sutrisno

The atmosphere at the home of mourning for Indonesia’s 6th Vice-President Try Sutrisno in the Menteng area, Central Jakarta, has been marked by numerous visitors paying their respects. A procession of vehicles carrying the deceased arrived at the residence around 09:24 WIB on Monday (2 March 2026). The body was immediately brought into the home of mourning upon being removed from the hearse.

Among the notable figures who have visited to pay their condolences is former Commander of the Armed Forces (ABRI), General (Retired) Wiranto, who now serves as Special Advisor to the President.

Try Sutrisno served as Indonesia’s 6th Vice-President during his tenure alongside President Suharto, specifically during the 1993–1998 period. Following the lying-in-state, the funeral prayer will be held at Sunda Kelapa Mosque. The body will subsequently be buried at Kalibata Heroes Cemetery in South Jakarta.
