Culture Minister states that the cultural endowment fund reaches over 3,000 recipients

Jakarta (ANTARA) - Culture Minister Fadli Zon stated that the Dana Indonesiaraya cultural endowment programme has reached more than 3,000 beneficiaries. “So the number of beneficiaries, previously around 300, finally reached 2,100 by the end of 2025. Overall, to date, the programme has reached three thousand beneficiaries with a total of Rp594 billion disbursed,” said Fadli during a webinar monitored from Jakarta on Tuesday. This year, the fund’s utilisation is presented through 11 categories, namely support for cultural interactions, institutional support for cultural organisations, utilisation of public spaces, documentation of works/knowledge of maestros or endangered Objects of Cultural Advancement (OPK), and the creation of innovative creative works. Additionally, funding for accompanying works for international distribution, studies on objects of cultural advancement and cultural heritage, Indonesian cinema, cultural entrepreneurship programmes, restoration and maintenance of cultural artefacts, and sustainable cultural heritage. The Culture Minister added that his ministry pays special attention to participants in underdeveloped, frontier, and outermost regions. He also highlighted programmes related to the preservation of cultural heritage, strengthening food sovereignty, local foods, and protection of local wisdom. “The main focus is directed towards the documentation of culture, revitalisation of cultural sites, and integration of traditional values into the education system and community economic strength, particularly in border areas,” he said. Fadli hopes that the distribution of Dana Indonesiaraya programme participants in 2026 can be wider, reaching regions that have not previously utilised the programme. With the presence of Cultural Preservation Centres (BPK) as extensions of the Ministry of Culture in 33 regions, he called on the public to contact these centres to obtain information or ask other questions. This name change is not merely symbolic but also reflects strengthened governance, expanded programme coverage, and improved service quality to cultural actors. The name change from Dana Indonesiana to Dana IndonesiaRaya is also in line with institutional transformation and strengthened programme governance to make it more adaptive and have a broad impact.
