Jakarta (ANTARA) - Culture Minister Fadli Zon has emphasised that efforts to preserve cultural heritage buildings must involve all parties to ensure that cultural legacies remain sustainable and enduring. “We must all work together to safeguard this cultural heritage. We will continue to support and utilise it collectively so that this heritage can be preserved sustainably. We will focus on supporting cultural advancement, including this Paseban Tri Panca Tunggal cultural heritage site,” said Fadli Zon during a visit to the Paseban Tri Panca Tunggal Building and the Raksa Wacana Arts Building in Kuningan Regency, West Java, in a press release received in Jakarta on Sunday. He affirmed that the visit to the Paseban Tri Panca Tunggal Building and the Raksa Wacana Arts Building signifies the Ministry of Culture’s commitment to the sustainability of cultural heritage buildings in the region. As the centre of Sunda Wiwitan teachings, Paseban is also the birthplace of the Seren Taun tradition, a harvest thanksgiving ceremony symbolising food sovereignty and societal harmony with nature. Continuing the visit, Fadli also inspected the Raksa Wacana Arts Building. He stressed the importance of involvement from all parties in preservation efforts, from the ministerial level to local government and individuals. “The presence of arts buildings in every regency is very important. We will support the revitalisation of arts buildings, cultural parks, museums, and this must involve all parties from the Ministry of Culture, provinces, regencies, the private sector, and philanthropic individuals who care about arts and culture,” he stated. The Raksa Wacana Arts Building was born from the grand vision of H. Aang Hamid Suganda, a key figure in Kuningan’s development. The name “Raksa Wacana” carries a profound message in Sundanese culture, meaning “safeguarding the trust” or “nurturing words”. This vision is not only rooted in the arts field but is also realised concretely through economic assistance from the Raksa Wacana Agri Purnama Rural Credit Bank (BPR), which has been established since 1995. Now, the Raksa Wacana Arts Building has transformed into a space for children to begin familiarising themselves with and loving their cultural roots from an early age. Through these collaborative steps, Fadli stated that the Ministry of Culture continues to strengthen efforts to protect and advance the nation’s cultural heritage. With adequate physical support and planned activity agendas, said Culture Minister Fadli Zon, it is hoped that arts buildings across Indonesia can grow into increasingly dynamic cultural spaces, while also capable of producing creative generations that love the nation’s identity.
