Jakarta (ANTARA) - Culture Minister Fadli Zon has directed the newly appointed officials at the Ministry of Culture to ensure that the execution of all cultural advancement programmes provides tangible benefits to the wider public and is measurable.

“Cut procedures that do not add value and are inefficient, strengthen efficiency, coordination, accelerate decision-making that has a real impact based on high competence and integrity,” said Fadli during the inauguration of 11 officials within the Ministry of Culture, quoted from a press release received in Jakarta on Friday.

Fadli emphasised the importance of building synergy, both internally within the Ministry of Culture and with stakeholders, cultural activists, and practitioners.

The newly inaugurated officials are expected to demonstrate adaptive, effective, and professional leadership in facing the dynamics of change.

Fadli further stated that the Ministry of Culture positions collaboration with non-governmental parties as a key to expanding support for cultural advancement programmes.

Such collaborations must align with the government’s commitment to delivering transparent, accountable services that have a real impact on society.

Every outcome must be accountable transparently, and efficiency should be interpreted as an effort to optimise resources, not to limit performance.

Fadli also encouraged the ministry to accelerate digital transformation in managing cultural data and assets.
