CUKTECH unveils power bank-powered exoskeleton prototype
Berlin (ANTARA) — Charging technology company CUKTECH has unveiled a prototype lower-body exoskeleton powered by a power bank, along with a range of charging products, at IFA Berlin 2026, as the company explores applications of its power technology beyond conventional charging devices.
IFA Berlin 2026, a trade fair for consumer electronics and home appliances, runs from 4 to 8 September. Technology companies from around the world are displaying a wide array of products covering artificial intelligence (AI), robotics, smart home technology, and wearable devices, whilst also offering a picture of the latest trends in consumer technology.
CUKTECH has more than a decade of experience in power technology research and development. The company has sold over 30 million units worldwide and now serves customers in more than 40 countries and regions, it said.
At this year’s fair, CUKTECH presented the CUKTECH Power Exoskeleton Kit, a lightweight lower-body exoskeleton prototype powered by a detachable CUKTECH power bank that can be inserted into the device as a power module. The power bank can be swapped as needed and used separately to charge smartphones, cameras, and other portable devices.
According to the company, the prototype is equipped with a multimodal sensing system and motion-intent recognition technology for the lower limbs. It can detect and respond to the user’s movements in real time, providing assistance when walking on flat surfaces, slopes, and stairs.
The device weighs approximately 2.5 kilograms, provides movement assistance of up to 35 per cent, and supports assisted motion at speeds of up to 18 kilometres per hour.
Designed for office environments and multi-device use, the desktop charging stations can charge laptops, smartphones, and other devices simultaneously, whilst their built-in displays provide real-time information on charging status and power delivery.
In addition, CUKTECH showcased a range of its latest charging products, including the CUKTECH 30 Charging Station, CUKTECH 30 Charger, and CUKTECH 10 Charging Station.
Visitors flocked to the CUKTECH stand to try out the charging products and learn about the functions and potential applications of the exoskeleton prototype.
Eric Wang, chief marketing officer and head of CUKTECH’s design centre, told Xinhua that the company leverages China’s supply chain and its in-house research and development capabilities to develop products for diverse overseas markets.
The company focuses on product design, charging performance, safety, and cost control, whilst tailoring its products to the needs of various markets, he said.
Eric said CUKTECH will continue to develop its power technology and charging product lines, whilst exploring further applications for portable power modules in smart devices.
