Cuba, RI sign trade pact
HAVANA (AFP): Cuba and Indonesia signed several agreements
strengthening economic and cultural relations between their two
people, during a visit here Friday by Indonesian Foreign Minister
Ali Alatas.
Alatas and Cuban Foreign Minister Roberto Robaina signed the
agreements boosting investment and bilateral cooperation in
general between the two countries, Cuban news agency Prensa
Latina said.
The Indonesian official, who began a four-day visit on
Wednesday, later attended a three-hour gala dinner hosted by
Cuban President Fidel Castro.
Alatas arrived here from Venezuela and on Saturday will travel
to New York where he will attend the United Nations General
Assembly.
