CTTH and KOTA Share Prices Surge Wildly, IDX Immediately Suspends Trading
JAKARTA - PT Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI) has temporarily halted or suspended trading in two shares that experienced a drastic surge in a short period, namely shares of PT Citatah Tbk (CTTH) and PT DMS Propertindo Tbk (KOTA).
The temporary suspension of trading was implemented starting from session one on Thursday (7/5/2026), after both shares recorded cumulative price increases deemed significant in recent times.
Based on IDX data, CTTH shares skyrocketed by up to 172.9% in the last month.
Meanwhile, KOTA shares saw an even more aggressive surge.
In the last month, this issuer’s shares jumped by up to 191% and rose 181% year-to-date.
The extreme rise in a short time prompted the IDX to take a cooling-down step to dampen trading volatility, while providing space for investors to re-examine the movements of shares in both issuers.
“The temporary suspension is carried out to give investors time to consider carefully based on the available information for every investment decision,” said Yulianto in the IDX disclosure of information on Thursday morning.
The IDX also reminds all market participants to continue paying attention to the disclosures provided by each company before making investment decisions.
Share suspension is a policy frequently adopted by the IDX when there is a surge in share prices deemed unreasonable within a certain period.
