CT: Success is Everyone's Right, But It Is Not Easy
Bandar Lampung, CNBC Indonesia - The Founder & Chairman of CT Corp, Chairul Tanjung, served as a speaker during the Inspirational Talks session at the Lampung Financial Festival held at the Novotel Hotel, Bandar Lampung, on Saturday (5/9/2026). In his presentation, CT, as he is affectionately known, spoke about the meaning of success and the methods to achieve it.
“Success is everyone’s right,” he stated.
According to CT, anyone can achieve success regardless of their background, whether they are the child of a president or the child of someone with nothing.
“However, success is not something easy; it must be fought for. It is not as simple as turning one’s palm over; it must be pursued with great effort,” said CT.
Furthermore, the former Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs shared a formula he has developed from his life experiences known as the ‘CT Way’. The following are the 10 points of the CT Way presented by CT during the event:
Start a business with good intentions
Read and seize existing opportunities; if none exist, create them
Money is not the primary capital
Buy the future with the present value
Make failure your best friend
Work hard, never give up, be detailed, do not compromise on the final result, be disciplined, and be a perfectionist
Intuition is something rational
Make decisions and seek solutions, not problems
Pragmatism and idealism are not like oil and water
