CT Holds Coaching Clinic, Reveals How to Tackle Business Problems
Chairul Tanjung, Chairman and Founder of CT Corp, delivered a presentation during the Inspirational Talk session at the Lampung Financial Festival 2026 at Hotel Novotel, Bandar Lampung, on Sunday (6/9/2026). The session was attended by students who have started their own businesses and were given the opportunity to discuss directly with Chairul Tanjung.
Tanjung said that success cannot be achieved instantly. According to him, success requires hard work, accompanied by prayer and an attitude of surrendering to Allah SWT so that the business journey brings blessings.
He explained that the coaching clinic was intended for students who have already begun running businesses. Tanjung shared his experiences and provided solutions to various problems faced by participants in developing their ventures.
Five students were then invited onto the stage to share and consult about their respective businesses. The businesses they run are diverse, ranging from thesis guidance services, selling fried snacks, to managing oil palm plantations.
Among the issues raised were how to overcome a stagnant business, dealing with weakening public purchasing power, and selecting employees. Tanjung assessed that these problems are classic challenges also faced by entrepreneurs, including the risk of fraud by employees.
According to Tanjung, employee selection cannot rely solely on psychological tests because no method can guarantee that a person is completely trustworthy. Therefore, entrepreneurs need to test prospective employees gradually over a certain period to observe their character and disposition.
Closing the session, Tanjung conveyed a message about the importance of being a fortunate person. He said that a foolish person will lose to a clever person, a clever person can lose to a cunning person, but a cunning person cannot defeat a fortunate person. According to him, the guidance for becoming a fortunate person can be found in the Quran and needs to be implemented in life.
