The Central Leadership (PP) of Muhammadiyah held a Ramadan Study for the year 1447 Hijri, which took place at the University of Muhammadiyah Tangerang (UMT), in Tangerang City, Banten.
The event, held at the UMT Auditorium on the 19th floor, was attended by more than 1,000 participants, consisting of members from Autonomous Organisations (Ortom), as well as academics from Muhammadiyah Universities (PTM) throughout Banten and Jakarta.
This annual event, which took place from Tuesday, 24th February 2026 to 26th February 2026, served as an important moment to strengthen the ideology and understanding of Progressive Islam at all levels of the organisation.
On this occasion, the Founder of CT Corp, Prof. Dr (HC) H. Chairul Tanjung, was one of the speakers, along with Prof. Dr. Bambang Setiadji M. Si, from the Research and Development Council of PP Muhammadiyah, and Dr. Anwar Abbas M.M., M.Ag - Head of the Muhammadiyah PP for Economic Affairs, with the theme of the study being ‘Experiences in Developing the Economic Welfare of the Ummah’, on Thursday (26/2).
In his presentation, Chairul Tanjung explained how the majority Muslim community is fragmented, leading to the development of the Muslim economy being controlled by other parties.
“As the majority in Indonesia, we must collaborate in building a network for the Muslim economy,” he said.
To realise a prosperous Muslim economy, CT added that several steps can be taken, including eliminating the culture of poverty and the culture of instant gratification.
