CT Chairul Tanjung Presents Commemorative Gift to Hoegeng's Family

The Chairman of CT Corp, Chairul Tanjung, presented a commemorative gift to Meriyati Roeslani Hoegeng, known as Eyang Meri, during the peak night of the Hoegeng Awards 2026. The gift was received by Hoegeng’s eldest grandson, Krisnadi Ramajaya Hoegeng, affectionately known as Rama.

At The Tribrata Darmawangsa in South Jakarta on Friday, 31 July 2026, the souvenir was revealed to be a framed photograph depicting General Hoegeng and Eyang Meri riding bicycles. In accordance with Eyang Meri’s message, the frame includes the quote ‘Entrust the Polri’ (Titip Polri), serving as a symbol of the couple’s love, simplicity, and serenity.

In his speech, Rama expressed profound gratitude to all parties involved, stating his hope that the Indonesian National Police (Polri) will continue to be loved by the public. He extended his thanks to the Chief of the National Police, officials from the National Police Headquarters, the National Police Commission (Kompolnas), and Chairul Tanjung, representing Trans and detikcom.

Regarding the Hoegeng Awards, the programme is a collaborative initiative between detikcom and the Indonesian National Police to appreciate exemplary police officers who demonstrate dedication, integrity, and service in their duties. The 2026 awards featured five categories: Dedicated Police, Innovative Police, Integrity Police, Police Protector of Women and Children, and Police in Border and Remote Areas.

The selection process began with public nominations from 27 January to 2 April 2026, receiving over 9,000 entries from across Indonesia. Following initial verification, the names were reviewed by an Expert Board comprising former KPK Interim Leader Dr Mas Achmad Santosa, Kompolnas member Gufron Mabruri, Alissa Qotrunnada Wahid, Putu Elvina, and DPR Commission III Chairman Dr Habiburokhman. A public testing phase was also conducted in May 2026 to gather community feedback on the candidates.
