CT ARSA Foundation Holds Ramadan Sharing Campaign, Distributes Aid to Orphans and Essential Goods
CT ARSA Foundation held the culminating event of its Community Sharing During Joyful Ramadan Movement (Gebrag Kalcer). The activity served as both the closing moment and celebration of unity from the entire series of sharing and literacy programmes that CT ARSA has implemented throughout the sacred month of Ramadan.
The Gebrag Kalcer Ramadan Committee Chair, Hasan, explained that this year’s series of activities ran as a marathon from 23 February through 17 March. One of the main agendas was a literacy and social roadshow along the Pantura route.
“The Kalcer Ramadan activity is fully implemented throughout Ramadan. Today marks the peak of the Roadshow Culture Ramadan that we conducted over 10 days across 7 cities,” Hasan said at the culminating event of Gebrag Kalcer at Cibis Park, Jakarta, on Friday (13 March 2026).
Hasan detailed that the CT ARSA Foundation team had visited 7 cities, beginning from Karawang, Cirebon, Brebes, Tegal, Purworejo, Sukoharjo, to Gunungkidul. During its travels, the team brought a special fleet to support community activities.
“We brought a Mobile Kitchen Vehicle, there is a Campervan, then there is the Iqro Mobile. All travelled together implementing activities not only distributing food and essential goods, but also conducting religious competitions,” he added.
Religious activities held included azan (call to prayer) and Qur’an recitation competitions for children. Hasan noted that community enthusiasm was extraordinary in participating in these competitions with a total of more than 500 participants.
“From 23 competition sites attended by more than 500 participants, today we have selected 6 finalists for the azan competition and 6 finalists for the Qur’an recitation competition,” Hasan explained.
At today’s culminating event, CT ARSA also brought 500 beneficiaries consisting of orphans, half-orphans, the impoverished, online motorcycle taxi drivers, and low-income elderly people. Each of them received 500 packages of essential goods and breaking-fast food.
Furthermore, Hasan detailed the social assistance distributed throughout the sharing programme in Ramadan, which included:
7,300 portions of GEBRAG Food (nutritious meals).
2,650 GEBRAG Food packages.
4,200 portions of GEBRAG Breaking-fast meals.
Endowment of 404 Qur’ans.
Aid for hundreds of orphans.
The Sharing Movement (Gebrag) encompasses various activities, including Food Sharing, Essential Goods Sharing, Sharing for Orphans, Literacy Sharing, PELITA (Islamic Student Literacy Week), and Literacy Roadshow Sharing. Hasan hopes these movements can continue and benefit those in need.
“Our hope is that this activity brings benefit and broad impact to the community and society,” he concluded.
