CT and Anita arrived alongside several members of the Merah Putih Cabinet, including Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa, Coordinating Minister for the Economy Airlangga Hartarto, National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, Minister of Culture Fadli Zon, and Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung. After performing Eid al-Fitr 1447 H prayers in Aceh Tamiang on Saturday morning, Prabowo held the open house at the Istana Negara. The President arrived at the palace around 3:00 PM WIB and was warmly welcomed by thousands of attendees. Following the welcome for the public at the Istana Negara, Prabowo conducted halalbihalal with officials and national figures. One of the attendees was Indonesia’s sixth President, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY). SBY was accompanied by his son, daughter-in-law, and grandchildren. Prabowo was seen greeting SBY and his family from the side entrance of the Istana Merdeka. SBY was joined by his eldest son, Coordinating Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY), and his youngest son, Deputy Speaker of the MPR Edhie Baskoro Yudhoyono (Ibas). The open house hosted by President Prabowo proceeded in a warm atmosphere. Since 12:00 PM WIB, long queues of citizens were visible at the palace entrance gate via Jalan Majapahit. The scorching sun and hot weather did not diminish the public’s enthusiasm to engage in silaturahmi with President Prabowo. To manage the arriving public for the open house at the palace, they were divided into several routes to avoid congestion. Some entered from the courtyard of the State Secretariat Ministry on the left wing of the palace complex, and from the central courtyard of the Istana Negara. In addition, arriving citizens were given gift packages from the palace side. Then, in the central courtyard, the public could enjoy dishes served by the palace. Islamic music entertainment was also observed being performed live from a small stage.
