Crypto Trading Competition Becomes Arena to Test Indonesian Trader Talent
Indonesia’s digital asset industry has a growing opportunity to produce regionally competitive traders as the crypto trading ecosystem develops and public participation increases. One effort to support this development is through a trading competition with a total prize of US$100,000, held as part of Coinfest Asia 2026 at Melasti Beach, Bali.
The competition, titled Alpha Arena Bali Final, brought together around 20 of the best traders who qualified through a series of online rounds. Participants came from general qualification routes and the Triv user community, and had the opportunity to demonstrate their trading skills directly in front of thousands of Coinfest Asia visitors.
The event, organised by Triv Group, also opened space for local traders to compete under live market conditions. The organiser ensured that all competition rounds were conducted with fair and transparent mechanisms up to the final.
The competition was part of the Traders Track at Coinfest Asia 2026, an annual crypto asset festival organised by Indonesia Crypto Network (ICN). This year, Coinfest Asia featured three main tracks: Institutional Track, Builders Track, and Traders Track. In the Traders Track, the Alpha Arena Bali Final was held alongside educational agendas such as the Alpha Hunting Masterclass and Bitcoin Crash Course.
Triv Group Founder & CEO Gabriel Rey said the competition shows that Indonesia has trading talent capable of competing not only domestically, but also regionally and globally. “Through Alpha Arena Bali Final, we want to provide a stage for the country’s best traders to demonstrate their abilities directly at one of the largest crypto events in Southeast Asia,” said Gabriel Rey on Sunday (23/8/2026).
According to him, the competition is also part of the company’s long-term commitment to promoting literacy and participation of the Indonesian public in the digital asset ecosystem. With a total prize of US$100,000, Alpha Arena Bali Final is touted as one of the largest crypto trading competitions by prize value ever held in Indonesia.
Rey added that the competition format was designed to present trading conditions close to real market situations. As a result, participants were not only required to generate profits, but also to apply trading strategies and risk management in a disciplined manner under time pressure.
“The competition format emphasises live real market conditions, so participants are required to demonstrate solid trading and risk management skills under time pressure,” he said.
He added that the development of such competitions could be an indicator of the maturing national digital asset ecosystem. “Besides opening space for local talent, this event also brings together the trader community, industry players, and investors in a broader ecosystem,” he concluded.
