Bitcoin has once again become a focal point in the global crypto market as May 2026 approaches. After dropping to a monthly low, traders are now optimistic that Bitcoin could reclaim the $80,000 mark, equivalent to approximately Rp1.4 billion. Optimism emerged as hopes for a US-Iran peace deal grew, with positive sentiment also driving global stock markets to new records. As reported by TradingView on Tuesday, 26 May 2026, Bitcoin’s price dipped below $75,000 (approximately Rp1.32 billion) last weekend. This marked the lowest level since mid-April 2026. However, Bitcoin has since recovered and is moving towards the $77,000 zone (approximately Rp1.35 billion). Analysts from Cryptic Trades described the previous drop as a temporary market trap or ‘fakeout’. ‘We observed a brief deviation below the long-term support area, consistent with April 2025’s price pattern,’ Cryptic Trades wrote. According to them, Bitcoin needs to reclaim the daily bull market support area to maintain the short-term upward trend. Trader Daan Crypto Trades echoed this view, stating that the area must be held by bullish investors. ‘Bulls must hold this level to keep short- and medium-term momentum favourable,’ he said. Meanwhile, trader Lennaert Snyder described Bitcoin’s movement below $75,000 as a strong liquidity sweep. ‘Daily closes have been strong following the liquidity sweep, with prices now breaking previous daily highs,’ he said. He remains optimistic that Bitcoin will retest the $79,000 to $80,000 range (approximately Rp1.39 billion to Rp1.4 billion). Another trader, CW, noted significant short positions under pressure around this level. ‘There is substantial short position pressure up to $80,500,’ he wrote. On the other side, global financial markets have also responded positively to US-Iran peace prospects, with US stock index futures surging at the start of the weekly trading session.
