JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - Indonesia’s cryptocurrency asset industry is assessed to be continuously showing signs of maturation, supported by an increasingly complete ecosystem, clearer regulations, and increasing domestic adoption.

Amid this development, the PINTU cryptocurrency investment platform has recorded growth in users and transaction activity in line with the company’s sixth anniversary celebration.

SVP Strategy & Business at PINTU, Andy Putra, stated that over the past six years, the domestic crypto industry’s development has continued to move positively, reflected in the increasing user participation and strengthening of products in the industry.

According to him, by 2026 PINTU has introduced nearly 400 tokens, including more than 40 tokens in the tokenized asset category.

In addition, the number of registered users grew by 79.29 per cent, active users increased by 38.37 per cent, and trading users rose by 25.86 per cent year-on-year (YoY). Transaction volume is also reported to show an upward trend.

Not only in spot trading, growth has also occurred in the derivatives segment. Andy mentioned that Pintu Futures recorded a significant surge in the first quarter of 2026 compared to the same period the previous year.

This data illustrates that activity in the crypto market is not only based on adding investors, but also shows an increase in user engagement in transacting.

On an industry-wide level, this development is also reflected in regulator data.

Based on data from the Financial Services Authority (OJK), throughout 2025 the volume of cryptocurrency asset transactions in Indonesia reached Rp 482.23 trillion, with the number of investors at 20.19 million people.

The continuously increasing number of investors is considered an important indicator for the development of the national crypto industry.

According to Andy, the growth opportunities in the industry do not only come from the transaction side, but also from product innovation and the broader development of blockchain technology use cases.

The momentum of PINTU’s sixth anniversary is being utilised to encourage participation and adoption.
