Crypto Exchange CFX Cuts Transaction Fees to 0.01 Per Cent
Jakarta (ANTARA) – PT Central Finansial X (CFX), the first crypto-asset exchange licensed and supervised by the Financial Services Authority (OJK), will cut transaction fees by 50 per cent, from 0.02 per cent to 0.01 per cent per transaction, effective 1 October 2026.
The fee reduction is expected to encourage activity and increase liquidity in domestic crypto-asset trading.
CFX President Director Subani said in a statement in Jakarta on Wednesday that the adoption of crypto assets in Indonesia continued to develop positively despite a correction in global crypto markets. This was reflected in the recovery in crypto-asset trading transaction values in the third quarter of 2026, following a correction in the first half of the year.
Transaction values on the CFX Crypto Exchange rose for three consecutive months, from Rp15.2 trillion in July 2026 to Rp17.6 trillion in August and Rp22.1 trillion in September.
Recovery was also evident in crypto-asset derivatives trading. Derivatives transaction values rose from Rp3.75 trillion in July to Rp5.98 trillion in August and Rp7.32 trillion in September 2026.
September’s derivatives transaction value was therefore almost double July’s.
In terms of the consumer base, OJK data showed that the number of crypto-asset consumer accounts reached 22.93 million as of July 2026, up 39 per cent year on year.
“The recovery in the third quarter is a positive signal for the market, in both spot and derivatives trading, particularly after a challenging first half. We hope this recovery momentum continues so the industry can grow stronger,” Subani said.
As an OJK-licensed and supervised crypto-asset exchange, CFX is also continuing to strengthen its role in safeguarding market integrity and security.
By providing orderly, fair and efficient trading, CFX and other industry participants — from digital financial asset traders to clearing and custodian institutions — are working to ensure consumers can trade in a protected and accountable ecosystem.
Subani said the enactment of Law No. 4 of 2026 had also opened up opportunities for the development of the crypto-asset industry, including through the development of derivative products.
CFX, he added, was ready to support this development by providing reliable trading infrastructure to ensure the industry’s growth remained orderly, fair and efficient.
“With a more efficient exchange fee structure and a more mature regulatory climate, we hope Indonesia’s crypto-asset market will continue to grow more healthily for the rest of this year. Consistent growth in the number of consumers is a positive sign that public interest in crypto assets remains strong, even amid the market correction,” he said.
He added that CFX was working to ensure the industry’s growth was supported by reliable infrastructure and a healthy trading environment.
“We are optimistic that, with collaboration across the ecosystem, Indonesia’s crypto-asset industry can grow sustainably,” Subani concluded.
