Crypto Asset Transactions Reach Rp22.98 Trillion in April 2026

Jakarta - The Financial Services Authority (OJK) has revealed that crypto assets are increasingly in demand as a promising investment instrument for the public, with transaction values reaching Rp22.98 trillion in April 2026. The year-to-date figure stands at Rp99 trillion.

Adi Budiarso, Chief Executive of the Supervision of Financial Sector Technology Innovation, Digital Financial Assets, and Crypto Assets, stated that this transaction achievement aligns with the increase in crypto investment consumer accounts, which rose 1.71% month-to-date to 21.1 million consumers.

“Amidst the current fluctuations, transaction values remain well maintained,” he said during a virtual press conference on Tuesday (5/5/2026).

Ari Budiarso added that in order to strengthen digital financial assets, the OJK has conducted digital financial literacy programmes at Pattimura University and Sebelas Maret University in Solo. Furthermore, the OJK, together with the blockchain association, is also holding a crypto month to bolster the asset industry for the public and to encourage the utilisation of digital and crypto assets.
