JAKARTA — The Illegal Financial Activities Eradication Task Force (Satgas PASTI) has shut down business operations suspected of committing fraud through impersonation or misuse of licensed foreign company names, namely AMG Pantheon and Mbastack Periklanan Kreatif Terbatas (MBA).

AMG Pantheon is suspected of impersonating Pantheon Ventures, an international investment advisory firm licensed in the United States, Singapore and Japan.

“Pantheon Ventures does not conduct crypto asset trading activities in Indonesia and has no connection with the entity using the name AMG Pantheon,” stressed Hudiyanto, Secretary of Satgas PASTI, in an official statement on Tuesday, 24 February 2026.

Based on the results of clarification and verification, AMG Pantheon’s activities in Indonesia are indicated to have been running a fraudulent scheme through an application used to offer daily trading activities suspected of being fictitious.

AMG Pantheon was found to be conducting business activities inconsistent with the licence issued by the Ministry of Investment and Downstreaming/BKPM, and its application/website was not registered as an Electronic System Operator (PSE) with the Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs.

“The modus operandi involved directing members to open accounts with one of the registered Digital Financial Asset Traders (PAKD) in Indonesia and deposit funds for the purchase of USDT (USD Tether), which were then transferred to AMG Pantheon’s wallet,” Hudiyanto explained.

Subsequently, members were asked to register on the AMG Pantheon application distributed by leaders to carry out daily trading activities suspected of being fictitious.

Meanwhile, Mbastack Periklanan Kreatif Terbatas (MBA) is suspected of impersonating MBAStack Limited, a licensed company in the United Kingdom operating as an advertising agency. The Indonesian entity was running operations using a tiered member-get-member scheme.

Clarification results showed that MBA holds legal status as a sole proprietorship based in Serang, Banten. However, its business activities were inconsistent with the licence issued by the Ministry of Investment and Downstreaming/BKPM and it was not registered as a PSE with the Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs.

MBA was running a scheme indicative of fraud by requiring members to deposit funds to obtain bonuses through a tiered recruitment system.

“There are no real products being traded; instead, members are tasked with reviewing hotels and tourist destinations through the application,” Hudiyanto said.

In connection with these findings, Satgas PASTI has halted the activities of AMG Pantheon and MBA and will proceed to block access to the related applications and/or URLs.

Satgas PASTI will also coordinate with law enforcement agencies for further legal proceedings. Members of the public who feel they have been harmed are urged to immediately report to local law enforcement to expedite the handling process.

Satgas PASTI once again urged the public to remain vigilant against investment offers or financial activities promising unrealistically high returns, particularly those using the names of licensed foreign companies without clear legal standing in Indonesia.

Should the public encounter indications of illegal investment offers or online lending, they may report through the website sipasti.ojk.go.id or via OJK Contact 157, WhatsApp 081157157157, and email konsumen@ojk.go.id.

Meanwhile, members of the public who have fallen victim to financial transaction fraud may report through the Indonesia Anti-Scam Centre (IASC) website at iasc.ojk.go.id to support efforts to swiftly block perpetrators’ accounts.
