Crypto Asset Education Event with OJK: CFX Crypto Exchange Hopes for Industry Growth...
Jakarta, TopBusiness – PT Central Finansial X (CFX), as a pioneer in licensed and OJK-supervised crypto asset exchanges, emphasises the urgency of education on digital financial assets, particularly crypto assets, for Indonesia’s younger generation. A 2025 study by the Institute for Economic and Social Research at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Indonesia (LPEM FEB UI), reveals that the majority of digital financial asset owners are from the under-35 age group. This phenomenon positions the younger generation as one of the key drivers of national digital finance ecosystem adoption in the future. In facing this development, awareness of literacy becomes the main key to ensuring sustainable growth that prioritises security and consumer protection aspects. Recognising this crucial role, CFX Crypto Exchange presents CFX Connect, a strategic literacy platform that bridges regulators, industry players, and the younger generation to collaborate in creating a safer, more transparent, and trustworthy digital financial asset ecosystem. In its inaugural edition in 2026, CFX Connect adopts the theme “Building Trust in the Digital Financial Asset Economy: The Role of Regulation, Market Infrastructure, and Literacy through the Younger Generation,” held at Universitas Indonesia, Depok. This discussion features panellists from the Financial Services Authority (OJK), academics, and digital industry experts; as a strategic initiative to delve deeper into the dynamics of digital financial assets and address educational challenges in this new era. The involvement of hundreds of students from various faculties at Universitas Indonesia in this forum makes the programme an open discussion space that enables direct and transparent insight exchange. In this event, the Executive Head of Supervision for Financial Sector Technology Innovation, Digital Financial Assets, and Crypto Assets, Adi Budiarso, was present. He conveyed points on the importance of crypto asset transaction literacy. “Our main task here as regulators, business actors, and academics is not just about accelerating adoption rates, but ensuring that consumers do not just ‘follow trends’ or get caught up in FOMO, and receive adequate protection,” Adi explained. “We do not want the market to become a pure speculation arena, where people are only lured by the ‘get rich quick’ narrative without understanding the accompanying risks,” he added. Meanwhile, the President Director of CFX Crypto Exchange, Subani, said, “CFX Crypto Exchange organises CFX Connect as a form of cross-sector collaboration to enhance crypto asset literacy among students, to guide the growth of the crypto asset industry in Indonesia.” “Behind the great potential, the digital financial asset industry like crypto assets also faces several dynamics that need to be managed wisely. Education is crucial to build an ecosystem that is not only innovative but also safe, trustworthy, and sustainable for all stakeholders and crypto asset consumers,” Subani clarified in his official statement on Friday (10/4/2026). Literacy is important to ensure industry growth aligns with public understanding. CFX Connect aims to encourage dialogue and education so that every public participation in the crypto market is based on fundamental knowledge, not mere impulsive actions due to FOMO in investing in crypto assets. The Student Affairs Manager of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Indonesia, Dr. Anna Amalyah Agus, S.E., M.B.A., said, “We strongly support and are committed to assisting students in the proper and directed learning process.” “We are also open to collaborating and working with regulators like OJK as well as Self-Regulatory Organisations (SROs), so that this development remains within the appropriate corridor, supervised, and sustainable,” Anna added. “The hope is that this initiative can have a positive impact and become an initial step in presenting a Central Crypto-Based Investment Centre at Universitas Indonesia, especially at FEB UI as an innovation hub that not only promotes literacy but also experimentation and real implementation in Indonesia’s digital finance ecosystem,” she explained. On the same occasion, CFX Crypto Exchange also organised the CFX Lab competition as part of the CFX Connect education and literacy activities. In this competition, participants who are Universitas Indonesia students act as teams of digital financial market strategy analysts tasked with preparing strategic studies for CFX Crypto Exchange management as a regulated digital financial asset exchange in Indonesia. As a form of appreciation for the best innovation and talent, one selected winning group will receive an exclusive award from CFX Crypto Exchange. The winner is entitled to take home a prize in the form of USDT as well as a valuable opportunity to join the Internship programme in the CFX Crypto Exchange ecosystem. “The presence of CFX Connect and CFX Lab marks a new step in the journey of national digital financial literacy. CFX Crypto Exchange believes that the collaboration established today will become a solid foundation for the future of Indonesia’s digital financial assets that are quality and of integrity,” Subani concluded.
